Jørgen’s long-standing partnership with guitarist Jens Franke primarily concentrate on virtuoso 19th Century music. They have recorded three Naxos discs containing music by Antoine de Lhoyer, José Ferrer and Filippo Gragnani.
Skogmo/Haanshus
Jørgen Skogmo and fellow guitarist Bendik Lund Haanshus mix influences from the baroque era with that of the Norwegian folk tradition in a blend of gut and steel strings. They have released two albums, «Stål & tarmer» and Korall (Ta:lik, 2019/2021). For further reading please visit our website.
Together with Erik Skanke Høsøien, Jørgen established The Skogmo – Høsøien guitar and lute duo in 2015. Playing repertoire from the 17th and 18th Centuries on different types of lutes and guitars, they have been invited to perform at international venues such as the Barbican (London).
